"The act has mastered the art of throwing a fete where everyone is invited, and Good News gives listeners more than a dozen reasons to celebrate. A unique blend of acoustic folk and Irish-infused pop, the album ushers in meaningful songs of modern worship, often contrasting the despondency of today’s world with the hope of Christ’s presence." - LifeWays HomeLife

"Rend Collective’s Good News more than lives up to its Gospel-inspired title. It’s the band’s most inspired and nuanced album, with creativity, energy and heart to spare. This spunky Irish group has created a folk-rock worship album opus that is a welcome bit of sunshine in the cold of winter, and one of the best things you’ll hear in all four seasons this year."- JesusFreakHideout

"Rend Collective's Good News is set on turbo-charge.  The songs exude such a titanic force both in their spiritual and vocal intensities that they can topple any scaffold of doubt and fear." - Hallels

“As always strong vocals, catchy melodies and a bunch of songs that ooze passion. Rend Collective are back...This could one of the best Rend albums to date.” - Louder Than The Music

"An exuberant, triumphant reminder of the 'good news' of Jesus— Good News is the album I needed right now, and I bet you need it, too." - Churchm.ag

"From the opening track to the last one, Good news will give you joy unspeakable and provide hope because Christ lives in each believer, life is forever beautiful." - The Smart Cookie Philes

Rend Collective Launches Rend Family Records In Partnership With Capitol Christian Music Group

October 27, 2015

Urban Rescue is first official act signed to new imprint

Rend Collective and Urban Rescue team up for spring tour across the U.S. and U.K.

Nashville, Tenn. (October 23, 2015) — Northern Irish folk worship band Rend Collective has announced the launch of Rend Family Records, a partnership with Capitol Christian Music Group and an endeavor stemming from the group's heart for worship and community.

"Rend Collective has always been about finding wild and colourful ways to worship God, so as Rend Family Records, we hope to shine a spotlight on artists who are redefining the landscape of musical worship," Rend Collective shared. "We’re calling ourselves a 'family' on purpose, because we want this label to be another extension of the thing we call 'church.' Our goal is to create an environment where discipleship is valued more than the 'next great idea,' to be pastorally-minded instead of product-driven."

"Kaleidoscope," the first single from Urban Rescue's upcoming album, is available today on iTunes, Amazon and other digital outlets. Click here to check out the official lyric video.

Learn more about Urban Rescue by watching the video below.

"It’s an honor to introduce Urban Rescue as the first band signed to Rend Family Records," Rend Collective continued. "Urban Rescue has been inspiring us since 2009 with their untamed and undiluted worship. Not only do they exhibit so much of the artistry we believe in, but their passion to pursue authenticity with God and people embodies the family heart we value. We are excited and grateful to be a part of Urban Rescue’s continued creative journey as they write music for the church."

Urban Rescue will also join Rend Collective this spring as they head out on tour with 50+ dates spanning the continental United States and the United Kingdom. The tour is in support of Rend Collective's most recent release, As Family We Go, which landed in the iTunes top ten albums overall in seven countries including the U.S., U.K. and Canada. They have spent the spring and fall of 2015 touring with Chris Tomlin on the most successful tour of his career, the "Love Ran Red Tour." For up-to-date tour information, visit: rendcollective.com/tour.

"We have the utmost enthusiasm and respect for the work Rend Collective has done throughout the world with their recorded music and live worship events," said Capitol Christian Music Group President, Peter York. "They have a compelling vision and a dynamic voice in the global church today. We are pleased to partner with them on their first Rend Family Records signing, Urban Rescue. This great Southern California based band has all of the essential elements necessary to launch successfully and impact the market with the same passion and originality that has become synonymous with Rend Collective’s brand."

Irish Worship Band, Rend Collective, Prepares To Release Energetic Fifth Studio Album, As Family We Go, August 21

July 10, 2015

As Family We Go marks Rend Collective’s first album with Capitol Christian Music Group

Rend Collective to re-join GRAMMY® Award winner Chris Tomlin on “Love Ran Red Tour” this fall

Nashville, Tenn. (July 10, 2015) — Rend Collective is known for their dynamic live worship, and their upcoming August 21 release, As Family We Go, has captured that same energy and spirit.

Claiming neither folk or indie rock, this celebration band continues to reinvent the "soundtracks" to their ministry, pushing further into new instrumentation and sounds. The upcoming release will bring 11 tracks of worship music, while a deluxe version of the album will offer two brand new songs, two remixes and one ukulele track.

The album is now available for preorder at iTunes, along with the first single “You Will Never Run.”

The band recently explained the meaning of the title As Family We Go in a post to fans.

“Part of the title comes from the fact that we always have considered ourselves less as a band, and more like a family...We pray as a family, work as a family, and do ministry as a family,” the band wrote.

“But more importantly, we belong to a larger family, and that family includes you. The children of God have always been a people on the move, driven by a mission and a purpose. We aren’t part of a social club, but we’re given a charge from the Father: to share His love with the world.”

The group hopes to capture the heart behind As Family We Go by asking others to share their own personal family and community stories. People are able to post pictures, stories, prayer requests and encouragement online using the hashtag #AsFamilyWeGo and tagging Rend Collective. The band will check and share stories daily.

As Family We Go is Rend Collective’s fifth studio record, but it’s the group’s first release with new label partners, Capitol Christian Music Group.

"We are excited about our relationship with Rend Collective and deeply committed to their mission," said Capitol Christian Music Group President, Peter York. "We feel honored to have them in our label family of artists and believe there is much ahead for this band as they share their compelling songs from As Family We Go. They are a hard working creative team who are having tremendous impact around the world."

As Family We Go follows their 2014 release The Art Of Celebration, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Christian & Gospel Chart. Previous albums also saw success with singles such as “Build Your Kingdom Here” and “My Lighthouse” breaking into the top 25 on the National Christian Audience Chart.

Along with their album release, the fall will bring a busy touring schedule for Rend Collective, who will once again join GRAMMY® Award winner Chris Tomlin on the second leg of his “Love Ran Red Tour.” Known for their energetic and celebratory worship, the band joined Tomlin earlier this year for spring dates and will take part in his Worship Night In America events in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Denver’s Red Rock Amphitheater and Sacramento’s Sleep Train Arena this August.

A full touring schedule is nothing new for Rend Collective, whose energetic worship draws sold out crowds across the globe. The group led worship at 150 events last year alone, and with a strong international draw, made recent stops in Brazil, Hungary, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Canada. 2016 is already shaping up to be a busy year for Rend Collective as they gear up to hit the road for two headlining tours.
