Spotify and Amazon Music prominently support WONDER & AWE with two Nashville billboards
Nashville, Tenn. (August 15, 2025) — 10x platinum band MercyMe has released their 12th studio project, WONDER & AWE with a very warm welcome. Standout street week highlights include K-LOVE airing one unreleased song a day leading up to album release and two Nashville skyline billboards featuring WONDER & AWE, in partnership with Spotify and Amazon Music. Also on street date last Friday, the band hosted a webinar for media, performed live at SiriusXM's Nashville Studio and were surprised by their label with plaques for their No. 1 single "Oh Death," the first radio single from the project. The special can now be heard on the SIRIUS XM app.
Media outlets and tastemakers nationwide are also marking the release of WONDER & AWE like Women's World magazine which spotlights the new album stating, "MercyMe's latest release offers a fresh wave of spiritual joy and toe-tapping inspiration." Additional recent coverage includes Billboard.com, CBN's Studio 5, CCM, ChristianPost.com, TheChristianBeat.org, Crosswalk.com, JesusFreakHideOut.com, Kingdom Builder podcast, Patheos, The Tennessean, Yahoo! and this Sunday, an interview with FOX News' Shannon Bream for her Livin' The Bream podcast and radio show. Critcs are praising the project, saying:
"MercyMe could have played it safe. They could have given fans a dozen soaring ballads and easily met every commercial expectation. Instead, Wonder & Awe feels like a delightful leap of creativity under one roof and with one message. It’s an album that’s full of joy, rooted in gratitude, and unafraid to have a little fun along the way." - CCM Magazine
"...they still do it well and with all their heart. Wonder & Awe... is full of lighthearted moments that still have an undercurrent of sincerity and urgency." - JesusFreakHideOut
"MercyMe’s Wonder & Awe is a heartfelt, honest, and refreshingly diverse album that takes listeners on a spiritual and emotional journey through the highs and lows of the Christian walk... a thoughtful, well-rounded album that showcases MercyMe’s range—both musically and spiritually." -Today's Christian Entertainment
WONDER & AWE follows their 2022 release, ALWAYS ONLY JESUS, which boasted the No. 1 hits, "Then Christ Came feat. Phil Wickham" and "To Not Worship You," as well as the top five hit, "Always Only Jesus." The new 13-track project finds the band collaborting with longtime producer Tedd T, who also serves as Executive Producer, as well as Brown Bannister, and new creative voices Josh Auer, Jarad Atherton and Carter Frodge. For the first time ever, the band also jumped in to co-produce all tracks.

Last spring, amidst a full calendar that notched multiple sold-out shows across the country, MercyMe returned to Red Rocks Amphitheatre to share a one-of-a-kind evening with fans. The event marked the band’s fourth time to headline the iconic venue, but this year’s stop was especially memorable as fans had the opportunity to be a part of a live taping for “I Can Only Imagine 2.” Cast members, including Milo Ventimiglia, Trace Adkins, Sammy Dell and John Michael Finley were in attendance to film the pivotal scene. The highly anticipated movie will release in theaters Mar. 20, 2026.
