Nashville, Tenn. (December 8, 2017) - Rising country star Brennley Brownhas made the most of 2017 since becoming the youngest, highest charting artist in the history of NBC's The Voice. During the live shows of Season 12 Brennley charted at #2 on iTunes® Country charts and #7 on their all genre charts.
With a heart for country music, Brown immediately hit Nashville’s CMA Fest where she made multiple appearances and performed before standing room only crowds receiving standing ovations. In addition to performing shows with Dwight Yoakam and Keith Anderson, she’s been making regular visits to Music City throughout the fall writing original songs in preparation for a soon to-be-announced studio project.
Brown was one of the artists featured in "Angels Among Us," a special track recorded by Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The song also features Carly Pearce, Hunter Hayes, Lucy Hale, RaeLynn, Sara Evans, Scotty McCreery and more. To celebrate the release of the song, Radio Disney will donate $25,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer. "Being a part of the "Angels Among Us" project benefiting St.Jude was an incredible honor for me," remarked Brown. "To see music used for good like this is inspiring."
2017 has also kept Brown incredibly busy using her vocal talents in Los Angeles’ non-stop world of voice-over animation. She has continued her role as “Lily” inDisney’s Emmy Award-winning animated series Sofia the First, a role she’s inhabited for the past two and a half years while also singing for several other characters on the show. Two of her most recent episodes include the seasonal "Too Cute to Spoke" and "Cauldronation Day."
Also with Disney, Brown is the singing voice behind “Young Repunzel” in Tangled: The Series, appearing in the current "Pascal's Story" episode directed by Chris Sonnenburg, the director of the series. The Tangled: The Series Soundtrack, on which Brown is the featured lead vocalist on the Alan Menken-composed "Friendship Song" track is now available on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon Music.
For NICKELODEON, she recently made her debut as “Young Samira,” a new character and guest star on Shimmer and Shine, while an exciting new lead role with Dreamworks will be announced soon.
"My love for country music and my desire to tell real stories through my songwriting keeps me working diligently," says Brown. "l'm incredibly grateful to have been collaborating and writing in Nashville with some of the top songwriters in town, and I'm looking forward to 2018 and all the new opportunities it will bring. I'm especially excited to share my original music with a very special project next year."
