Capitol CMG Publishing Launches First Ever Industry-Wide 'Women Who Worship' Writing Event

45 Influential Female Worship Artists, Songwriters and Producers Gather 

Nashville, Tenn. (May 22, 2019)– Capitol CMG Publishing hosted 45 influential female worship artists, songwriters, and producers as a celebration of women who use their music to spread hope to the world. The inaugural “Women Who Worship Writing Camp”was used both as a time to connect and worship together, but also a time for collaboration. An expansive list of female creatives united for the 2-day event including Audrey Assad, Bethel Music’s Lindy Conant-Cofer, Ellie Holcomb, Hillsong’s Hannah Hobbs, Jessie Early, Kari Jobe, Mandisa, Mia Fieldes, Passion’s Melodie Malone, Mia Fieldes, Rita Springer and Steffany Gretzinger.

“This vision of this writing camp came from the idea of wanting to create a space where these women could come together to support and encourage one another,” said Karrie Dawley, Vice President and Creative Director of Capitol CMG Publishing. “God took this idea and turned it into something way bigger than any of us could have imagined. Nashville, Tenn. (Apr. 22, 2019) - Bethel Music’s Bright Ones is in cinemas nationwide today for a special one-night event. Presented by Fathom Events, families will be able to enjoy the film in over 700 select movie theaters. In addition to the screening, Bright Ones is also available in select churches through the Fathom Affinity Network in partnership with Collide Media and Inciite. 

Following the lives of three students, each embarking on a journey to find their identity while attending a performing arts high school, the film embraces themes of friendship, family and the courage to find your own voice.

The Dove Award-winning soundtrack for the film also re-released today, including three-brand new acoustic tracks performed by two of the film's stars, Peyton Allen and Josie Buchanan. The soundtrack also includes dialogue clips from the film interwoven throughout the project.

Breaking the mold of kid's worship, critically acclaimed Bright Ones the album offers a diverse pop-influenced soundscape with a mixture of re-invented covers and original songs written by members of Bethel Music, performed by the youth of Bright Ones.

(Apr. 17, 2019) – The momentum for country trio Leaving Austin  continues to build following last week's release of their Southern GoldEP, with the collection of new tunes holding strong in the Top 15 of the iTunes Country Chart all weekend. The project comes on the heels of a new worldwide co-publishing deal under a partnership agreement with Sea Gayle Music and BMG Nashville. With over 5.5 million streams and counting, the project includes the popular “Nothing But You” (1 million +) along with their brand new track, “She Can.”

In less than a year, Californians Austin Machado, Davis Forney and Michael Stevens have garnered co-writes with some of country music’s most successful songwriters including Jimmy Robbins (“We Were Us”, “It Goes Like This”), Dave Barnes ("Craving You", "God Gave Me You"), Scooter Carusoe (“Anything But Mine”, “Mean To Me”), Chris DeStefano (“Kick The Dust Up”, “Something In The Water”), Chris Dubois (“Buy Me A Boat”, “Today”) and Thomas Archer (“Hurricane,” “You Broke Up with Me”).  Their smooth vocals and distinctive songwriting have made them one of the most sought after new bands in Nashville.

To celebrate the release of Southern Gold, Leaving Austin performed songs off the new project last night to a packed room at Nashville's sought-after Analog.

Ahead of their release, Leaving Austin stopped by WSM's Coffee, Country and Cody to talk more about Southern Gold, performing several songs from the project. Along with BMG’s Jake Gear and Sea Gayle’s Chris Dubois, the trio also sat down for an exclusive interview with Music Row about their recent co-venture signing with two top publishers.

“I got a call to do a co-write with them..so I showed up for the write, and I was really impressed with them," said Sea Gayle Music's Chris DuBois. "We wrote two songs that day, and it was very obvious to me that the guys were not only real songwriters but they had a vision for who they were as artists.”
