Chris Tomlin Wins 23rd GMA Dove Award for Worship Album of the Year, Receives Third American Music Award Nomination

Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2017) - Chris Tomlin took home his 23rd GMA Dove Award for Worship Album of the Year for Never Lose Sight at the 48th Annual GMA Dove Awards Tuesday night at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. The Dove Award comes on the heels of Tomlin's American Music Award (AMA) nomination for Favorite Artist in the Contemporary Inspirational Category, the third AMA nomination of his career. The AMAs will take place on Nov. 19 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, CA, and will be broadcast live (8:00–11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.

(Oct. 18, 2017) - Continuing a landmark year, MercyMe received multiple wins at last night's 48th Annual Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards winning the notable Artist Of The Year, alongside Pop/Contemporary Album Of The Year (Lifer) and Songwriter of the Year Artist (Bart Millard). Revealing Photos Of Hurricane Irma From Celebrity Photographer Jeremy Cowart To Raise Funds For Rebuilding

“Resilient Light” utilizes uncommon technique, painting light inside dark destruction sans Photoshop

Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 10, 2017) – Portraying the resilient light found in the survivors of Hurricane Irma, celebrity photographer Jeremy Cowart is unveiling “Resilient Light” to raise awareness and financial support for the survivors through striking photos. Named the “Most Influential Photographer on the Internet” and known for photographing the likenesses of Sting and Emma Stone to humanitarian needs around the globe, Cowart aimed to capture the undocumented strength in the survivors of Hurricane Irma as a reminder to them and to each of us that we have what it takes to heal and rise again. 

For every print sold, ranging from $35 to $195, 100% of the proceeds will go back to the individuals and families in this community who have been displaced by hurricane damages through two organizations indigenous to the area.  Guadalupe Center breaks the cycle of poverty through education in the hard-hit Everglades area where 41% of people live at or below the poverty line. "Resilient Light" will help in their hurricane relief efforts in Collier County, Fla. by assisting students, teachers and staff with temporary housing, repairs and replacement services, temporary economic assistance, food, water and supplies. "Resilient Light's partnership will help us to depict this community of hardworking people and generate much needed resources to help them restore their lives," shares Dawn Montecalvo, President of the organization. "Guadalupe Center looks forward to completing the recovery process so that our children can fully return to school and educational activities helping us continue to break the cycle of poverty through education." For areas in Lee County, Fla. About the Art:
Ensuing one of the most devastating hurricane seasons in U.S. history, Cowart and a small team of six traveled to Southwest Florida to capture the undocumented strength in the survivors of Hurricane Irma.  Meeting with families, wading in the waters at night to capture the photos and immersing themselves in the area, the team shot these photos in the dark of night and painted the color on the scenes to craft something beautiful out of something so catastrophic. Cowart captured all color and text in camera. No Photoshop was used in the creation of the messages. The handwritten messages of hope were originally created on the iPad Pro and then projected in thin air via pixelstick as a part of the original photographs. The quotes imposed on the images were chosen as portrayals of the resiliency that Cowart & his team witnessed within the hurricane survivors they met with.  

“It all started with a simple idea,” shares Cowart. “Is it possible to turn scenes of devastation into a vessel to help the devastated?” For “Resilient Light,” Cowart used an original lighting technique that combined multiple hand-held Profoto color-gelled B1 Strobes (involving three to four crew members), 20-30 second shutter speeds and handwriting/fonts which were captured in-camera using the pixelstick.

Sunday night at Nashville's Church of the City, Elisabeth Hasselbeck helped Tomlin and Whitehead celebrate the release of HOLY ROAR, talking with each about the inspiration behind the book, its purpose, and how it has affected each of them personally. Woven throughout the night Tomlin performed some of the worship songs from the book including, "We Fall Down" and "How Great Is Our God." 

In HOLY ROAR, Tomlin and Whitehead share a fresh perspective from the worship practices of the ancient world. The book aims to grow readers in their understanding of praise as Whitehead offers unique insights, and be inspired as Tomlin shares how those insights take shape in the stories behind favorite worship songs.

Singer/Songwriter Melanie Penn Reveals Compelling Christmas Album To Release Nov. 3

Project birthed out of singer's own story of loss

Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 5, 2017) - Hailing from New York City, singer/songwriter Melanie Penn reveals her new Christmas project Immanuel, set to release Nov. 3rd. Her third studio album, Immanuel is a winsome collection of folk-pop songs, with nine originals and one classic carol retelling the Christmas story through the perspective of the angels and people who lived through it -- Mary, Joseph, The Wise Men, The Innkeeper, and even The Star of Bethlehem -- in a compelling and deeply human way. 

“As a songwriter, you typically draw from your experiences and observations, and your songs invite people into your personal narrative,” says Penn. “But this project is  so different because this is our story. The Christmas story belongs to us all. I’m just humbly trying to shine a light on a little piece of it.”

Penn teamed up with longtime collaborator, Nashville producer Ben Shive (Sara Groves, Brandon Heath, Andrew Petersen) for the project, which took close to a year to write.

After battling a serious illness in 2016 which left Penn unable to bear children, the singer/songwriter felt an even deeper calling to leave an impact through her songs, and part of her healing came through the writing process of delving into the greatest birth story ever told.

Songs like "Great Things," inspired by Mary's story, came to Penn through the process of an arduous week-long writing retreat, while others like "Follow the Star," from the perspective of The Wise Men, popped into Penn's head like a gift.

“There’s something about the ‘normalness’ of the Christmas story I’d never thought of before. These people were so ‘regular,’ living their lives as a shepherd, a young girl, or a carpenter, and yet they encountered the supernatural and their lives changed forever. I have to believe that’s still happening every day. Especially in the telling and retelling of the Christmas story.”

Sara Groves Reveals Compelling New Hymns Record, Abide With Me, To Release Nov. 17 And Launches Exclusive Preorder Experience With Pledge Campaign

Nashville, Tenn. (Sept. 28, 2017) - Sara Groves announces the release of her 13th studio album, Abide With Me, for Nov. 17th. Following her critically acclaimed Floodplain, the record includes songs carefully selected from Groves' personal list of hymns, with each song having provided a source of healing and comfort to the singer/songwriter throughout the years. 

"My last album found me on the Floodplain reflecting on the kind provision that comes when I find myself in a place where I cannot rescue myself," says Groves.  "Abide With Me is a collection of hymns and songs that were with me on the Floodplain. A highlight for me was re-tracking 'He’s Always Been Faithful' with piano, upright bass and woodwinds.  My bandmates and I guesstimate that we have played that song well over 1,000 times, and these days it is loaded with the memories of 20 years of making music."

Fittingly recorded in a 105 year old church converted into a studio by Groves alongside her bandmates, Groves' latest is both personal and congregational, with songs like “Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus” staying close to the original hymn, while others such as “Oh My Redeemer What a Friend You Are to Me,” and “Fairest Lord Jesus” take on their own creative flair.

(Sept. 28, 2017) - After 19 years as a full-service management company, BrickHouse Entertainment has reached the milestone of managing over 5,000 shows. Owner and President Scott Brickell said “It's been an honor to work alongside our artists, their crew, labels, agents, promoters, buyers and sponsors to accomplish this monumental landmark.”

Millard presented Scott Brickell with a commemorative plaque acknowledging the achievement at Disney's Night of Joy on September 8th, 2017. Ironically the show was almost cancelled due to Hurricane Irma.

Four-Time GRAMMY® Nominee Matthew West Drops Critically Lauded All In Today

Premier Foundation Benefit Event Raises Over $400,000 for Charity

GREENVILLE, SC (Sept. 19, 2017) - The fifth annual “Perspective: A Jared Emerson Art Show & Benefit” raised more than $400,000 for the Premier Foundation’s Adopt the Block projects last week. 

This annual event furthers the mission of the Premier Foundation, the charitable arm of Premier Productions, which is committed to serving the world’s needy and impoverished. The event featured an art show and auction by nationally-acclaimed performance artist Jared Emerson and special guest artist TYP (a.k.a. Troy Murray). The evening included live music by Marvin Mumford & Friends and Kylie Odetta, silent and live auctions, and a direct gift request. Two paintings were completed by Emerson during the event: A portrait of NFL football legend “Mean Joe Greene” who attended the event and autographed the painting; and a portrait of Frank Sinatra painted backwards on glass. 

The event raised approximately $45,000 for the Premier Foundation and two key projects in Detroit and Greenville, SC.  Premier was also presented with a $400,000 special project grant from Overcome to complete funding for the Mount Nebo Bible Baptist Church and Community Center in New Orleans.

"We are excited to partner with the Premier Foundation,” says Jay Grubb, founder of Overcome. “The team at Premier is changing lives and making a difference on a global scale.”

“It is a blessing and an honor to partner with Overcome to put the final financial pieces in place for our project in New Orleans,” said Gene Krcelic, president of Premier Foundation. “When disaster strikes and the nation responds to a community’s needs, it is only a matter of time before another disaster strikes and those suffering from the old disaster are soon forgotten.  We have pledged to never forget those still struggling from yesterday’s disasters.  The Overcome grant will allow us to bring new life to the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans where Hurricane Katrina left so many without homes and hope.” 

In addition to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Greene, about325 donors and special guests were in attendance including:  Former college and NFL stars Champ Bailey, Boss Bailey, Tajh Boyd, Michael Dean Perry, Donnell Woolford, NBA star Antonio Davis, Tour de France and Olympic cyclist George Hincapie, and George Rogers, 1980 Heisman Trophy winner from South Carolina and Super Bowl Champion.

Over the prior four years, Perspective has raised more than $200,000 to help support the Foundation’s Adopt the Block program. This program identifies impoverished communities around the world where the Premier Foundation can make a significant impact. On-going projects include helping neighborhoods in the U.S and around the world - from Greenville, SC, New Orleans, and Detroit to Free Hill, Jamaica; Svay Pak, Cambodia; Nairobi, Kenya; and Nassau, Bahamas.

This year’s featured Adopt The Block projects included Fellow Countrymen, an organization in Greenville, S.C. that helps with housing, mentoring and employment of veterans suffering from PTSD in the area and The Hope Center in Detroit that comes alongside churches and organizations serving at-risk youth and the needs of their impoverished community.

Nashville, Tenn. (Sept. 15, 2017) - USA Today and The Tennessean exclusively premiere Colton Dixon's latest music video, "The Other Side," from the artist's critically acclaimed Identity (March 24).

One of the most personal songs for Dixon from the album, the music video for "The Other Side" shares the powerful stories of two families reflecting on the passing of loved ones; Dixon's own wife's late brother, as well as a young fan touched by Dixon's music. The music video instills a sense of hope in the midst of tragedy.
