MercyMe Unveils Fall Tour and Announces MercyMe, It’s Christmas!

as “Flawless” Single Hits No. 1

Nashville, Tenn (July 23, 2015) – GRAMMY® nominated band MercyMe has unveiled dates for their fall “Greater Than Tour," kicking off this October, as well as MercyMe, It’s Christmas! set to debut on October 9. The album will mark the multi-platinum selling band’s second Christmas release. The announcements were revealed in the midst of celebrating their second No. 1 hit, “Flawless,” (Billboard’s Christian AC Indicator chart) from the best-selling Welcome to the New project (2014).

Hitting a dozen cities this fall, with 27 No. 1 songs under their belt,  MercyMe will have plenty to choose from when they bring a night of favorite hits to their audiences, while welcoming award winning artists Phil Wickham, Tim Timmons and speaker John Lynch (see tour routing below and click here for updates).

MercyMe has spent much of the summer recording MercyMe, It’s Christmas! with producer Brown Bannister at the helm. Their last Christmas album, The Christmas Sessions (2005), was heralded as an instant classic and garnered them a spot on The Tonight Show as well as ABC's annual Disney Christmas Parade. MercyMe, It’s Christmas! reinterprets classic holiday songs mixed with originals, soaring emotive ballads, fun, up-tempos tracks and original compositions.

Colton Dixon Announces New Dual EPs Calm and Storm, Available September 11

Nashville, Tenn. (July 20, 2015) — Colton Dixon will give fans a glimpse of his musical versatility with the upcoming releases of dual EPs Calm and Storm, debuting September 11. Calm, a stripped down collection of acoustic songs, and Storm, a compilation of energetic remixed tracks, will feature fan favorites from Dixon's debut release A Messenger and current project ANCHOR. Fans will hear transformed versions of the biggest hits including "You Are," "Never Gone" and "More Of You." 

Copies of the EPs will be available as one full length album including both Calm and Storm titles The Calm Before The Storm, or the EPs may be purchased and streamed separately through digital music services.

Earlier today, Dixon announced the EPs on social media, sending fans on an online scavenger hunt through instagram, Apple Music and Facebook, which eventually led them to the EP titles and album artwork.

Calm and Storm follow Dixon’s sophomore release ANCHOR, which continues to see success as current single “Through All Of It” recently hit No. 1 on the Hot AC chart and Top 10 on the AC Indicator Chart. The album’s first single, “More Of You,” spent three weeks at No. 1 and was the most played Hot AC single of 2014.

Irish Worship Band, Rend Collective, Prepares To Release Energetic Fifth Studio Album, As Family We Go, August 21

As Family We Go marks Rend Collective’s first album with Capitol Christian Music Group

Rend Collective to re-join GRAMMY® Award winner Chris Tomlin on “Love Ran Red Tour” this fall

Nashville, Tenn. (July 10, 2015) — Rend Collective is known for their dynamic live worship, and their upcoming August 21 release, As Family We Go, has captured that same energy and spirit.

Claiming neither folk or indie rock, this celebration band continues to reinvent the "soundtracks" to their ministry, pushing further into new instrumentation and sounds. The upcoming release will bring 11 tracks of worship music, while a deluxe version of the album will offer two brand new songs, two remixes and one ukulele track.

The album is now available for preorder at iTunes, along with the first single “You Will Never Run.”

The band recently explained the meaning of the title As Family We Go in a post to fans.

“Part of the title comes from the fact that we always have considered ourselves less as a band, and more like a family...We pray as a family, work as a family, and do ministry as a family,” the band wrote. 

“But more importantly, we belong to a larger family, and that family includes you. The children of God have always been a people on the move, driven by a mission and a purpose. We aren’t part of a social club, but we’re given a charge from the Father: to share His love with the world.”

The group hopes to capture the heart behind As Family We Go by asking others to share their own personal family and community stories. People are able to post pictures, stories, prayer requests and encouragement online using the hashtag #AsFamilyWeGo and tagging Rend Collective. The band will check and share stories daily. 

As Family We Go is Rend Collective’s fifth studio record, but it’s the group’s first release with new label partners, Capitol Christian Music Group.

Owl City Releases Mobile Orchestra Today

Announces fall headline tour with support from Rozzi Crane

Nashville, Tenn (July 10, 2015) — Owl City’s fifth full-length album, Mobile Orchestra [Republic Records/Capitol CMG], is available today. You can get it HERE!

Celebrating the release, the multi-platinum, chart-dominating pop maven Owl City — also known as Adam Young—returns to NBC’s The Today Show on Tuesday July 14. With Mobile Orchestra, Young dives deeper into his faith than ever before. "I definitely wanted to write in a way that pointed more directly to my faith and how important it is to me," Young said in a recent interview with Guideposts.org. I just imagined if I was feeling really lonely or down in the dumps, what’s the kind of song that I could really use?" Some examples on the album include "You're Not Alone (feat. Fans can get a taste of what to expect from Beautiful Offerings with the album's first single "My Story," which frontman Mike Weaver co-wrote with Jason Ingram. The single is at radio now with an official add date of July 17, 2015, and "My Story" will be available at digital retail outlets July 10, coinciding with the Christian retail pre-sale kick off. Big Daddy Weave will be prominently exhibited as part of a floor display in hundreds of Christian retail stores around the country in August. July 10, 2015 will also mark the release of Big Daddy Weave’s Live In Concert DVD and digital longform, available at physical retail and digital video outlets, including Qello. Sanctus Real's Matt Hammitt Announces Departure From Band

Band to Launch "Farewell To A Friend Tour" 
and Release Greatest Hits Project This Fall 

Nashville, Tenn. (July 1, 2015) - After a 20 year history together, GRAMMY nominations, Dove Awards, seven albums and six No. 1 singles, Matt Hammitt, the lead singer of Sanctus Real, has announced he will be leaving the band this December. Both Matt and his fellow band members have taken time to draft personal statements so that their fans can hear from them first hand and in their own words.

The band has announced their “Farewell To A Friend” tour this fall, which will be Hammitt’s final tour with the band. Sparrow Records will release a Greatest Hits project from Sanctus Real this October, featuring the band’s top hits over their 20 year career and a new single, which will release in the fall as well.

There isn't nearly enough space to recount or describe what I've experienced with my friends in Sanctus Real over the past twenty years. I'm so grateful for what God has allowed a few guys from Toledo, Ohio to experience together. I don't take it lightly, the ability that songs have to impact the hearts and lives of those who hear them. Experiencing this God-given mystery with my friends in the band has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

I want to thank my band mates, current and former, but especially Mark and Chris for allowing me to share in this incredible season of life with them. And of course, to our families, you are the backbone God has blessed us with. Thank you for holding down the fort. I love and appreciate you.

Over the past few months, I've felt the Lord calling me into a new mission field, into a new season of life. If you want to hear the intricate details about my decision to leave Sanctus Real, I've discussed it at length in the first two episodes of my new podcast "The Lead Me Lifecast." I open each episode by saying that, "I've been traveling far and wide singing the song 'Lead Me', but now I want to sing it less and live it more." I mean that genuinely, with all of my heart. I've always struggled to reconcile my life on the road away from Sarah and the kids, but after all these years I'm now confident that my calling is to be at home more, consistently making God and family my ultimate priority. My primary gifting as a communicator is simply sharing my life and heart with people, and they're going to get the best of that.

Many incredible people have given their talents to this band and without their support and sacrifice we would never have made it out of my parent’s basement, out of Ohio, or maybe more importantly to me, out of my own head. You see to have a dream requires a belief that you can achieve something bigger than anything you could hope for by yourself. And for Mark and I we could have never had this dream of Sanctus Real without Matt. We were three wide-eyed kids with hopes of blazing a trail and reaching people with the Gospel when we signed a record deal fourteen years ago. And now we’re three men blessed to see the impact all these years of writing songs and traveling the country have made. We’re husbands and fathers with a responsibility to sow into our families the same love and faith that caused us to come together as a band of believers in the first place. 

It is with this responsibility in mind that Matt first came to us distressed by the balance of life lived out on the road and a life being played out at home while being gone. For each of us this balance has been a delicate lesson to learn over years of touring and countless goodbyes to our loved ones. Add to this the fact that Matt and his wife Sarah have a son with congenital heart disease and the balance can become nearly impossible. 

So you can imagine after almost 20 years of experiencing God move within our tight-knit little world how difficult it might be to watch one of us being called out of it. And after many deep conversations, though I know this conclusion did not come easy, all of us as brothers feel it is the right decision for Matt and his family. 

As for the rest of the band… This is a time for us to ask you to pray for us. We have a passion to use the platform of Sanctus Real to write new music that will continue to influence not just the church world, but reach well beyond anything we could imagine and offer hope to the lost and weary wherever they are. Some may say it’s just music. But to me it couldn’t be anything more. Music filled with the Holy Spirit speaks to my soul, it’s what moves me and it’s a gift God uses to bring incredible life-change to those that hear it.

Phil Wickham Honored with BMI Christian "Song of the Year" Distinction for "This Is Amazing Grace"

New Album Due Out in Early 2016

Three-Time GRAMMY ® Winner Continues Global Tour Dates; Takes Part in Former First Lady's 90th Birthday Celebration

Nashville, Tenn. (June 16, 2015) –  “Sky Spills Over,” the latest music video and radio single from GRAMMY ® Award Winner Michael W. (June 9, 2015) — With an accumulation of over 11 million units in career sales, six-time GRAMMY® winner TobyMac has announced the release of his sixth studio project, THIS IS NOT A TEST.   Produced by TobyMac, David Garcia and Chris Stephens, the 11 track project is the follow up to his No. 1 Billboard debut, Eye On It, and is available for pre-order on iTunes® today, June 9, with a worldwide street date of August 7.  To pre-order the album and receive two advance song downloads, click here.

The title of the album comes as a reminder to “make every moment count, and make every second count,” explains TobyMac.  “I started collecting concepts as soon as I turned in the last record three years ago, and started working on this album a year and a half ago. The concepts are all based on my life experiences.”  An album that he feels reflects important themes like loving each other well and the richness of diversity.

THIS IS NOT A TEST finds the American Music Award winner collaborating with a diverse group of artists, including for the first time in a decade, his dcTalk bandmates Kevin Max and Michael Tait, and newer artist like Capital Kings, Ryan Stevenson and Hollyn.  The song “Undeniable” adds the vocal stylings of young students from New Hope Academy.  A long-time supporter of the non-profit school based in Franklin, Tenn., New Hope Academy brings together socio-economic status and races, and provides scholarships to low-income families for high-quality education.  “Collaborating allows us to appreciate our differences and makes us more receptive to each other,” explains the artist and record label founder (Gotee).  “ I’m honored to collaborate with my songwriters, produce with my co-producers and I am honored to take the stage with my band. There  is a richness to what humans do when they come together and collaborate.”  The track listing for the new album debuted last week with the help of his three million social media followers. 

TobyMac’s first single from THIS IS NOT A TEST,  “Beyond Me” received 80 adds its first week out, and hit no. 1 at CHR.  He performed the track on NBC.com’s Beyond A.D. Digital Talk Show hosted by E! News co-host Jason Kennedy last month. 

THIS IS NOT A TEST will be available as a deluxe version and will have four extra tracks, two new songs and two remixes, including "Lift You Up," "Fall,"  “Beyond Me (PHENOMENON Remix by Soul Glow Activatur) and “Like A Match (Garcia Remix)."

(June 1, 2015) - Winners were announced at tonight's 3rd Annual K-LOVE Fan Awards at The Grand Ole Opry House, presented by Pepsi and hosted by FOX & Friend’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck and actor Kirk Cameron. Broadcast live on K-LOVE.com, the fan-generated awards show aimed to honor artists, authors, film/television and athletes who impact popular culture in a positive and encouraging way for Jesus Christ.

This year's K-LOVE Fan Awards partnered with Hands & Feet Project to make every vote count. With every 500,000 votes, Hands and Feet Project committed to building a family-style home for orphaned or abandoned children in Haiti. Homes will be built in the area of Jacmel, where Hands & Feet Project is based. On Saturday, fans and celebrities including Hasselbeck, For King & Country’s Joel Smallbone, Matthew West and more participated in Run For Love 2015, which benefitted the non-profit organization. 

With a vast array of talent, the evening showcased abundant performances and appearances from the worlds of music, sports, film and books. Highlights included memorable performances by Francesca Battestelli, Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman, Colton Dixon, Crowder, Lauren Daigle, For KING & COUNTRY, Danny Gokey, Hawk Nelson, Kari Jobe, Matt Maher, MercyMe, Plumb, Sidewalk Prophets, TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, Tenth Avenue North, Third Day and Matthew West.

Special appearances were also made by the Benham Brothers, Blanca, the NFL’s Brian Bosworth, Indiana Hoosier’s Coach Tom Crean, Louie Giglio, Natalie Grant, former NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, Tennessee Titan’s Punter Brett Kern, Britt Nicole, Kristian Stanfill, The PGA’s Kevin Streelman, Michael Tait, author Lysa TerKeurst, New Orleans Saints Tight End Benjamin Watson, and Boston Celtics Center Tyler Zeller.

The show was the pinnacle event of the K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend and Ultimate Fan Experience, where fans had more chances than ever to see and interact with their favorite Christian music artists. Starting Friday night, May 29, the weekend began with a bang with a star-studded Kickoff Concert, featuring performances by TobyMac, Newsboys, Matthew West, Matt Maher and Sidewalk Prophets.

Throughout the weekend, fans participated in the popular K-LOVE Fan Zone, which featured a variety of fan-focused events including celebrity basketball games, autograph sessions, book signings, special performances and more. Saturday night welcomed the Songwriters Showcase hosted by Steven Curtis Chapman and featuring MercyMe, Crowder, Colton Dixon, Nichole Nordeman and more. On Sunday, Third Day and Kari Jobe started the day off with a special Worship Service at the Opryland Resort. Additionally, a Sports Breakfast was held on Saturday to honor the Zeller family; NBA athletes Tyler, Cody and Luke and their parents Steve and Lorri. The exclusive event hosted just over 100 people and benefited Sports Spectrum Magazine, a nonprofit Christian sports magazine.
