Amy Grant's "Baby, Baby (Remix)" Emerges as No. 1 Breakout on Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart

July 9, 2014

First career remix album In Motion: The Remixes set to release August 19

Nashville, Tenn. (July 9, 2014) – Six-time GRAMMY® Award winner Amy Grant is already receiving amazing response from DJs around the country for the remixed version of "Baby, Baby" as it takes the No. 1 Breakout spot on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart this week. GRAMMY®-nominated producer, DJ and remixer, Dave Audé, put a new spin on the hit, which originally topped the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for two consecutive weeks in 1991.

"Remixing 'Baby, Baby' has definitely been one of the highlights of my career," Audé said. "I loved this song when it was released in 1991, and I still love hearing it today; you can't say that about many records 23 years later. 'Baby, Baby' has crossed genres, and I'm hoping my remix will add yet another genre to this timeless classic."

"Baby, Baby" is one of eleven songs on Amy's first career remix album, In Motion: The Remixes, set to release August 19. The album will feature a collection of Amy's biggest songs, remixed by well-known remix engineers and DJs. With hits like “Every Heartbeat,” and “That’s What Love Is For,” the album brings a new sound to the songs that have defined Amy's three-decade career.

In Motion: The Remixes will be available for pre-order on July 22. When fans pre-order the album, they will instantly receive the remixed version of "Baby, Baby," which Billboard exclusively premiered here last month.

In Motion: The Remixes follows the success of last year's How Mercy Looks From Here, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian chart, making it a record-setting 16th No. 1 album for Amy in the Christian genre. The album also shot up the Billboard Top 200 Chart, debuting at No. 12. As Amy's first new studio record in more than a decade, the album featured guests James Taylor, Carole King, Sheryl Crow, Eric Paslay, Will Hoge and Amy’s husband Vince Gill.

NEEDTOBREATHE Classic Golf Tournament Raises $140,000 for Global Health Care Initiatives

June 24, 2014

Contributions nearly double that of last year's tournament

"Multiplied" hits Top 20 on Billboard Christian Songs Chart

Nashville, Tenn. (June 24, 2014) - The 2014 NEEDTOBREATHE Classic golf tournament raised $140,000 last month in Daniel Island, SC, almost double the profits from the 2013 event, meaning more money for Charleston area nonprofit Palmetto Medical Initiative (PMI) in its efforts to provide quality health care to people around the world. Commonwealth Cares Foundation partners with NEEDTOBREATHE to host the annual golf tournament and auction benefiting PMI. Last year’s tournament raised about $80,000.

“The fact we raised so much more money this year demonstrates how much people believe in the work PMI is doing around the world,” said Britt Gilbert of Commonwealth Cares Foundation and a PMI board member. “Not only did people come out to enjoy a game of golf and an after-party concert, but they were able to learn more about the concept of sustainable health care and the model that has made PMI so successful.”

The money will fund about half the cost of a second clinic in Uganda with work slated to begin in January 2015. PMI’s first clinic was in Masindi, Uganda. In January 2014, PMI dedicated its first clinic in El Viejo, Nicaragua. The second Uganda clinic will serve as a satellite for the main Masindi-Kitara Medical Center, where more than 80,000 patients have received care. Also this year, PMI announced plans to expand its efforts into Burundi.

Joining NEEDTOBREATHE on the golf course were musicians Drew & Ellie Holcomb, Steven Curtis Chapman and Ed Roland of Collective Soul. Professional golfers Kevin Streelman along with hometown golfer Russell Henley participated along with Matt Diaz of the Miami Marlins; Todd Ellis, voice of the Gamecocks; and musicians Ben Rector, Mark Bryan and John Mark McMillan.

NEEDTOBREATHE recently released the music video to their single "Multiplied," which continues to make gains at radio, breaking into the Top 20 on the Billboard Christian Songs Chart. "Multiplied" is off the band’s fifth studio album, Rivers In the Wasteland, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in April.

Skillet to Join 2014 Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival

June 19, 2014

Explosive European summer rock tour underway

Jen Ledger dubbed one of UK's Download Festival's top drumming performances alongside Rob Bourdon of Linkin Park

Nashville, Tenn. (June 19, 2014) – GRAMMY®-nominated and platinum selling rock band Skillet will join multi-platinum artists Godsmack and Seether along with Buckcherry for the fifth Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival, which kicks off August 15.

Previously hailed by Examiner.com as "the best tour of the year," the Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival has announced 24 tour dates, kicking off in Detroit on August 15 and running through September 21.

UPROAR Festival producers John Oakes and John Reese said "We look forward to creating an incredible UPROAR experience for rock fans in every city we visit.”

Skillet's run with The UPROAR Festival will follow their current tour in Europe, where the band was invited to play multiple festivals throughout the continent, performing for thousands of fans. The tour began May 30 in Jelling, Denmark and will end July 6 in Sofia, Bulgaria with stops in Italy, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom and more. On their second European tour in support of the RISE album, Skillet is making big waves across the continent. After completing a massive fall tour last year supporting Nickelback, with six back-t0-back sold out headline shows in Russia and encore-demanding crowds, the band is rapidly gaining a solid European following.

Skillet recently played the Download Festival in the United Kingdom, where Jen Ledger captured the attention of audiences and critics with her drumming skills. Out of 100 plus bands that performed at Download 2014, Musicradar.com named Jen among the 8 greatest drumming performances at the festival alongside Rob Bourdon of Linkin Park and Joey Kramer of Aerosmith. See the full article at Musicradar.com.

"A short but awesome set witnessed Jen’s Dave Grohl-esque power behind the kit, particularly impressive as she sings a lot too – with no let up in her whole-body drumming style," Musicradar.com said of the performance. "We were particularly blown away by the even double-kick and flashes of tasty technique on display as the band played their hits ‘Hero’ and ‘Monster’ and tracks from new album RISE."

About Skillet
Over the course of the past few years, GRAMMY®-nominated and platinum selling rock band Skillet has sold more than two million units in the U.S., racked up more than 160 million YouTube views and amassed a diehard following (dubbed Panheads) whose members number more than five million on Facebook alone. Their 2013 release RISE debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard Rock and Christian charts, which led to No. 1 radio hits for "American Noise,” “Not Gonna Die” and "Sick Of It." RISE also gave Skillet their late night television debut on Conan. RISE follows the band's 2009 blockbuster, Awake, which was certified platinum for sales in excess of one million copies in the U.S. and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. In addition, the record hit No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums Chart, garnered three Billboard Music Awards and spawned four hit singles including the No. 1 Active Rock smash and gold-certified “Awake & Alive,” the gold-certified "Hero," "It's Not Me It's You" and the platinum-certified "Monster." "Monster" lived up to its name, selling more than a million copies and hitting Top 5 at Active Rock radio (the first in a string of multiple Top 5 active rock hits,) while its companion video has generated more than 69 million YouTube views. Skillet was the only active rock band to achieve RIAA Platinum Certification in 2012 and was one of only three rock bands (the other two being Mumford & Sons and The Black Keys) to strike platinum in 2012. Skillet is made up of John Cooper, Korey Cooper, Jen Ledger and Seth Morrison.

While her album propelled her to win her first GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year and receive her first GRAMMY® and Billboard Music Award nominations, she also performed on the Women of Faith's REVOLVE tour, TobyMac's HITS Deep Tour and the highly attended 44-city Winter Jam Tour Spectacular. Hailing from outside of Atlanta, she was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 11 and has since traveled the country sharing her story and faith through music and speaking. Jamie Grace has since graduated from Point University with a degree in children’s ministry. Her sophomore album Ready To Fly is available now.

About Gotee Records
In 1992 a production team of three talented guys with diverse tastes shared a love for music. Producers Joey Elwood and Todd Collins, along with Grammy-winning artist TobyMac, launched Gotee Records in 1994 after unsuccessfully finding a label deal for the R&B trio Out of Eden. With a steady focus on artistry, the new label expanded to reflect the diverse interests of its founders. Within 12 months, Christafari, GRITS, and Johnny Q. Public were signed, easily representing four different music categories: R&B, reggae, rap and rock. In the 20 years since Gotee's founding as a record label, it has launched the careers of Relient K, Jennifer Knapp, Sonicflood and more recently, Jamie Grace, Capital Kings, Finding Favour and Ryan Stevenson. The present day in the Gotee story is much like the label's early days. Through all the changes in a tumultuous music industry, the boutique label's independent spirit is maintained through a steady focus on artist development and diversity.

A Letter From Kevin Max Announcing His Solo Career and New Single .....

June 4, 2014

"Watching Kevin lean into his faith and watching his kind way with people has been deeply inspiring.  Kevin is full of vision, passion, and enthusiasm. His determination to create beauty with words and melodies for the sake of the kingdom will bless and encourage those of us searching for the fingerprints of God."  - Jamie George, Pastor of The Journey in Franklin, TN and author of Love Well.

In the early 1990's I had the privilege of meeting the members of a band from Kentucky Christian College called A180. Before long they changed their name to Audio Adrenaline, signed to Forefront Records and began to tour and make music from their new home base of Nashville, Tenn. I remember those days fondly as I sang on one of their first breakout albums called 'Don't Censor Me' and appeared in their video 'AKA Public Schools.' We toured together on the Jesus Freak and Bloom records, which became one of the largest grossing tours of both our careers. To say we have made memories together would be an understatement. I loved the guys in Audio Adrenaline because they stood for the misfit and the underdog. I was a misfit and an underdog, even before joining dc Talk, and I could identify with their quirky brand of rock-and-roll and pop music. When dc Talk dissolved because of an interest to pursue solo careers, I never imagined I would find myself back with these brothers, literally, making music as Audio Adrenaline. The past two years have been an epic pursuit of music, missions and bringing hope to the 'least of these.' Being zoomed in close to Mark Stuart's vision with Hands and Feet, and seeing first hand the work that was being done in Jacmel, Haiti, has given me a broader picture of what a rock-and-roll band could accomplish for the kingdom. It was beyond a joy to film a video in Haiti, and see the single 'Kings and Queens' capture a small glimpse into the lives of these beautiful children. It has been an honor to create an album with Mark and a handful of like-minded musicians, and tour this album for the last couple of years. Our friendships and bonds have strengthened beyond music, and the door that God opened for me to step through became a much bigger portal to finding myself. I am learning the difference between performing for God and serving Him through the gift of music.

When I was informed that Audio Adrenaline was moving forward into more of a 'Worship Music' direction, I had initial feelings of confusion and doubts. However, I truly believe that whatever the band decides to do, they will have meaning in God's kingdom as they are men with pure hearts. I had to be honest with myself accepting that my calling was not in this specific form. God has wired me as an artist and given me a desire to create music in many different genres. I move forward now to be a steward of what He has given me, and through faith I am believing He has lead me again to a career in solo music. I support and stand behind my former bandmates and consider myself an ally and a friend both personally and musically.

As many of you know, I have spent a prior decade in solo music. After dc Talk, I went through a period of finding myself and learning the hard way that without a team around me, left to my own devices, I could easily get lost in myself. Lost in my own ego, God found me and broke me of my pride. He then brought me back to Nashville. I have spent the last two years being refined and restored. I feel revitalized. I am excited about what is around the corner for my family, friends and the music that God continues to gift us with. I have no desire to run from Nashville. I have no desire to run from what I have continued to pursue in the Christian Arts. If anything, I feel that these last two years have given me the tools and desire to make the best art I can within this industry. One of the first dc Talk monikers was 'if it's Christian, it ought to be better.' That is my new goal and again more than ever, a slogan in my life. I, Kevin Max, promise to dive deep into music, poetry, stories and imagination, but most of all into the web of wonderful relationships and people that God has brought into my life on this amazing journey of the soul.

I am proud to announce the lead single from my upcoming album 'Broken Temples.' It is a song about the beauty, mystery and perfection that is our God-it is called 'INFINITE.' Click on the link to hear a full streaming version, it will be available on iTunes on June 10.

Crowder's Worldwide Solo Debut Neon Steeple Available Today

May 28, 2014

Critics praise Crowder’s reassertion as a "musical tour de force"

Crowder to make Grand Ole Opry debut this Saturday

Crowder celebrates album release with Passion City Church in Atlanta

Nashville, Tenn. (May 27, 2013) – sixstepsrecords/Capitol CMG artist Crowder makes his worldwide solo-debut today with the release of Neon Steeple. His single “I AM” has made impressive waves at radio, reaching No. 3 on the National Christian Audience chart over the weekend. Paying tribute to the folk/country influences on the new record, Crowder will make his Grand Ole Opry debut this Saturday, May 31 in Nashville.

Upon the release of the album, Neon Steeple shot to the Top 10 on the iTunes Overall Albums Chart. Featuring 14 tracks and 3 bonus tracks, Neon Steeple includes a moving duet with music icon Emmylou Harris on “My Sweet Lord.” The track was featured on USA Today’s weekly playlist here: http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2014/05/26/nicki-minaj-pills-n-potions/9601807

Critics are acknowledging the risky, innovative musical direction on Neon Steeple, and yet are praising Crowder’s solo debut as a “musical tour de force.” Here’s a sampling of the acclaim:

"Neon Steeple is a rugged, homey album that melds sacred sounds from the past with present-day praise. And Crowder is a creative wordsmith, as evidenced on tracks like 'Come As You Are.'"
-Rhapsody

"[Neon Steeple] encompasses a world of unsurpassed listening: personal, devotional, and congregational worship. What a concept."
-Worship Leader, 5 out of 5 star review

“Without a doubt, Crowder has returned to the forefront of the music scene with songs of hope, grace, and a whole lot of transparency. Crowder, it's good to have you back… and with much respect, better than ever.”
-Jesus Freak Hideout, 5 out of 5 star review

“This album stands out in its genre and, even though it was risky, created a fresh sound that will intrigue both the solo-Crowder-era new listeners and longtime fans.”
-New Release Tuesday

“Only a musical and worship filled creative mind such as Crowder could pull such an album like this and make it work.”
-BREATHEcast.com

“Crowder is a standout among his peers and always has been. He has always been willing to play with sound and take risks that others may not be willing to take. That should be applauded.”
-Faith Village

“Neon Steeple, while a new musical direction and horizon for Crowder, should be an instant hit with fans.”
-The Front Row Report

“Crowder reasserts himself as a musical tour de force, making music that is as artistically successful as it is lyrically. The fusion of the old and the new comes across as effortless in the artist’s hands...”
-The Sound Opinion

“Only Crowder can create a unique and cohesive style, combining country rock, dance, folk, bluegrass and modern worship.”
-Christian Music Review

Last Sunday, Crowder held an album release party at Passion City Church in Atlanta to commemorate to culmination of his solo debut. Crowder spent the evening playing through the new songs from the album, leading a packed room in a night of celebration and worship.

CANDACE CAMERON BURE
Candace Cameron Bure realized early that it was her desire to be an actress. Candace grew up watching her older brother Kirk Cameron star in the popular show “Growing Pains.” It was from this experience that Candace knew that she wanted to pursue acting. In 1987, Candace took on the most important role of her young life as Donna Jo "D.J." Tanner on the series “Full House.” Viewers watched Candace grow up during the show's eight-year run and maintained an unwavering affection for her, even as she grew older.

Despite being off the air since 1995, “Full House” still ranks as one of the most successful series of all time.

While much of her success was in television, Candace also gained starring roles in feature films. Joining the long tradition of John Hughes movies, she acted alongside Eric Stoltz and Mary Stuart Masterson in Some Kind of Wonderful in 1987. She then had the opportunity to work with acting greats Tom Hanks and Sally Field in the 1988 comedy, Punchline.

After “Full House” wrapped its last season, Candace met her future husband, professional hockey player Valeri Bure and began her most important role to date, the role of mom for her three children, Natasha, Lev, and Maksim.

On top of it all, Candace Cameron Bure has developed a deep Christian faith throughout the years and tries to live her life by the ideals of her beliefs. She supports many philanthropic causes, giving support to Skip1.org, Compassion International, Sheraton House and Children's Hunger Fund, as well as being the National Ambassador for National House of Hope. Candace also travels the country speaking at various churches, colleges, and women's conferences sharing her Christian faith.

MATTHEW WEST
A multiple-ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year winner and lauded by The New York Times as “a vivid and compelling songwriter with impressive approaches to the familiar,” four-time GRAMMY® nominee Matthew West’s discography includes acclaimed releases: Happy (2003), History (2005), Something to Say (2008), The Story of Your Life (2010) and Into The Light (2012). His 2010 studio album, The Story of Your Life, was inspired by 10,000 stories from every state in the U.S. and 20 countries. The album garnered attention from CNN Online, Fox News, Billboard, Country Weekly, American Songwriter and more. The Story of Your Life gave West the largest street week debut of his career, selling over 10,000 units the first week landing at No. 3 on Christian Soundscan, and No. 41 on the Billboard Top 200. His songwriting credits include cuts by Rascal Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus, Diamond Rio and more. West was nominated for a Primetime Emmy® Award for Original Music & Lyrics for “The Heart of Christmas” from the film of the same name. West’s fifth studio album, Into The Light, was released last fall and was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Album for the 55th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. The album features his most recent hit singles “Forgiveness” and “Hello My Name Is” (which was No. 1 on the National Christian radio chart for 17 weeks straight, officially breaking the record for the most weeks at No. 1), along with 10 other tracks inspired by 10,000 new letters submitted after West invited people to, once again, send him their stories. West was nominated and won his first American Music Award in 2013. West spent much of late 2012 and early 2013 on a pre-headlining stint of the No. 1 Tour in the World (first quarter), the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular. He wrapped 2013 with his headlining fall 2013 tour and “The Story Tour” in December. This year he has been on the “Hits Deep Tour” as well as his “Hello My Name Is…” acoustic tour.
